A Russian student can enter the bachelor's program at the University of Freiburg only after completing two courses at a Russian university, or after one year of study at the Studienkolleg. The graduation document must be notarized translated into German. Applicants of the magistracy will need the same translation of the bachelor's degree.

The required level of German language proficiency for admission corresponds to a result between 2 and 3 on the DSH or Test DaF test scale with a result of 4. The above certificates can be replaced by passing the entrance exam at the University of Freiburg (Einstufungstest). If necessary, a student can take a preparatory German course at the university, the cost of which will be from 791 USD per semester.

When entering an English-language program, a good knowledge of English is required, confirmed by TOEFL certificates (minimum 100 ibt) or IELTS (minimum 7.0).
The deadline for applying for the summer semester is January 15, for the winter semester - July 15. For some specialties, other deadlines for submitting documents may apply, so you should check the deadlines in advance on the official website of the university.
